How fast can a ferrari fxx go

So with the additional downforce and trick aero, we suspect the FXX K Evo might even dip into the 1m 13s…. Mind you, it has plenty of electronic assistance, as one would expect of an XX car.

Again, no specific data from Ferrari. It only notes that using experience from Formula 1, and adopting much carbon fibre, it managed to produce a car lighter than the FXX K, even with that new wing. It measures in at 1. No figure from Ferrari. But again, consider that only 40 FXX K models were built. This one will be produced as a standalone, or an upgrade to your regular FXX K.

Expect a similarly tiny output. And expect them to be sold out either now, or sharpish. Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter. The steel tubes and composite reinforcements were kept from the chassis structure of the Based on the street-legal Enzo, the Ferrari FXX appeared in as part of a program allowing drivers use of the car on Ferrari-approved tracks.

The FXX offers data-monitoring and telemetry that allows the driver to improve performance while providing Ferrari technicians with data to refine the FXX and future road-going models.

Ferrari built 30 of the FXX model, with 29 cars going to pre-selected buyers and one presented to Michael Schumacher when he retired from Formula One at the end of Intended for racing, the new model also featured an adjustable cockpit, a racing interior, stiffer suspension, up-rated brakes, competition gearbox, wider wheels and an engine producing between bhp.

Only 17 factory F40 LMs were originally built. Torque has also been lifted to Nm at 6,rpm. The intercooling system features a dedicated water circuit with a maximum boost pressure figure of 0. Novitec Rosso comes in a two-tone special matte yellow and grey coat, which can be matched to the interior on request. Wheels are size 8. The front suspension can be lifted by 40mm for easy parking access. The interior features a flat-bottomed leather and carbon fiber steering wheel and carbon fibre shift paddles.

Named after the Ferrari founder, this edition is a revival of the original Ferrari Enzo, with a lightweight carbon-fiber body and V12 engine producing a maximum power of bhp. One of the ten fastest street legal cars in the world, the Ferrari Enzo has a top speed of mph and can reach 60mph in 3.

With only units produced, the cost of the Enzo goes up every time one of them crashes, which happened most publically at the Targa Newfoundland. Behind the wheel was Zahir Rana, owner of ZR Auto car dealership, who had modified the car in Germany to produce a staggering horsepower and achieve mph in 2.

The result? Rana took a corner wrong and ended up landing his favorite toy in the sea. Thankfully he escaped with only his pride bruised. Uwe Gemballa is better known for refining Porsche cars—a role he has perfected over the past 30 years. Produced in a limited run of 25 cars, the reinvention comprised new aerodynamics and real carbon components to combine the lowest weight with the highest material strength. The front spoiler lip generates downthrust of up to 35 kilograms at the front axle.

The flap on the newly designed rear spoiler generates even up to 85 kilograms more downthrust on the rear wheels. For the best handling results, the flap lowers, as soon as the car reaches a speed of 75 mph.

The GEMBALLA car body components therefore guarantee the functionality of the new super sports car and provide the car with a unique look at the same time. Formerly rounded edges were replaced in order to provide the car with an aggressive look with wide air inlets and outlets. Novitec Rosso produced just three of these cars, modified from the Ferrari GTB and more powerful than the previous Ferrari Fiorano.

The most significant differences can be seen in the styling—the RACE version features a new front spoiler lip, rear apron, rear diffuser, custom rear wing and new rocker panels.

These upgrades were installed to improve aerodynamics and cooling to the V12, which received some aftermarket parts. The tuners hooked up the 6-liter V12 engine with a twin compressor system, new intake manifold, injectors, air filter, and ECU tuning.

Performance numbers for the Ferrari show an output of hp at 7, rpm, and Nm of torque at 6, rpm. This Notivec twin-supercharger delivers up to bhp. High-flow injectors combine with two belt-driven Rotex superchargers, a carbon fiber airbox, new exhaust headers and an adjusted ECU. Novitec offers 5. An adjustable KW system replaced the magnetorheological dampers. The new Notivec NF3 wheels house the 16 inch Brembro unit brakes and 1.

Other highlights include a Rosso Supersport steering wheel, new aluminum pedals and longer shifter paddles. The body is available with a front splitter, new sills and a diffuser in either fiberglass or carbon fiber. The chassis of the FXX K received a host of updates as well. Speaking of tires, the FXX K rides on Pirelli racing slicks that feature sensors that monitor longitudinal, lateral and radial acceleration, as well as temperature and pressure.

The new rubber provides not only improved grip with the track surface, but also enables the traction control system to deliver maximum performance. Behind the lightweight, ten-spoke rims, which are also brand-new, lurk larger, carbon-ceramic brake discs and race-spec Brembo calipers. More power and grip needs to be backed by increased stopping power, and these new brakes will make sure the FXX K is on its best behavior on all race tracks, no matter how tight or quick they are.

EF1-Trac F1 electronic traction control integrated with the hybrid system. With production limited to only 40 units, the track-ready LaFerrari will be offered to select Ferrari customers, most likely to those who already own a street-legal LaFerrari.

Also based on a road-legal hybrid supercar, the P1 GTR comes in a similar package: an aerodynamically enhanced body with tons of added parts for increased downforce, plus a massive wing atop its rear end. The interior is as track-focused as it gets, with acres of carbon-fiber making up the shell built on top of the MonoCage chassis.

The P1 GTR is motivated by the same hybrid drivetrain found in the road-legal P1, but the combo now includes a motorsport optimized, 3. The output sits at horsepower, 83 ponies more than the standard P1. I expect the P1 GTR to sprint from naught to 60 mph in as low as 2. Top speed should remain unchanged at mph. Customers will also benefit from at least six drive events to be held on certain Formula One tracks. Production of the P1 GTR is limited to only 58 units.

After clamoring from F40 fans everywhere, Ferrari finally succumbed to the requests and offered the public a track-tuned variant of the F40 between and This racer pumped out a massive horsepower at 8, rpm from its twin-turbocharged 2. This Enzo on steroids pumped out horsepower from its 6. This bad boy carried a 6-liter V engine that put horsepower to the pavement at 9, rpm. In addition to the power bump, the XX also was far lighter than its GTB donor, thanks to lighter engine components, composite construction, and carbon-fiber body and brake pads.

Additionally, the gearbox was modified to knock shift time down to 60 milliseconds. Much like the FXX, the XX also received an Evoluzione package, creating the XX EVOThis package added in extra electronic controls, Pirelli rubber, a revised aero package, 35 kg 77 pounds of weight loss, an automatic rear spoiler and a small bump to horsepower.

If the LaFerrari is the pinnacle of Ferrari evolution in terms of technology, hybrid drivetrains, output and speed, then we definitely need a new name for the FXX K. Sure, this is a supercar we will never see blow by us and our plebeian cars on the highway, but we must not forget that Ferrari was born as a race car manufacturer before anything else. All told, the FXX K adds even more exclusivity to the Ferrari brand, not only by being incredibly expensive and limited as a production car, but by being the kind of hypercar customers can hoon only on the track.

Unfettered by homologation and racing regulations, the FXX K will never be used in competition. It was, in fact, developed to be completely uncompromising, incorporating technological innovations that will guarantee an unprecedented driving experience to the exclusive group of Client-Test Drivers with whom the Prancing Horse will roll out a test programme over the coming two years.

The intake manifolds have been redesigned and given a special type of polishing treatment. The exhaust system has been modified as its silencers have been eliminated. A focus on delivering maximum efficiency at every stage of every track lap has resulted in extensive but integrated work on the entire car body in terms of both active and passive aerodynamics.
